PlatinumThreads does not use or collect your information for marketing purposes. We do not sell, trade, and or share your information with third-parties.

Data collected/stored on our site:
* E-mail address you registered with (visible to administrators only)
* Your IP addresses used (visible to admins and moderators)
* Your geolocation
* Your chosen display name/username
* Your device information (if you're using Windows, Mac, iOS, Android.)
* Profile information that is filled out voluntarily
* Content posted by the users
* If you've registered an account via Twitter, then we can see your Twitter display name and Twitter profile photo.

How do we use your information?
We use the information we collect from you when you register, sign up for our newsletter, surf our website, post on the forum, etc. We use the data get a better understanding of the demographics of our community. Your IP address is visible to admins and mods when you post on the site and in the online list. A full log of your IP addresses used are visible to admins only from the Admin Control Panel view of your account. Your IP addresses are removed automatically after 60 days.

 

How is the data collected?
User's IP addresses' are automatically recognized by our web servers. All the data is collected via our site software Invision Community.

Posts
You are in control of the information you share with the community and where you post it on the site. You are responsible for what you post. You have the right and the ability to delete your own posts. Your posts are only shared with and visible to registered PlatinumThreads users (with the exception of anything posted in the Lobby). When you post on PlatinumThreads, you allow us to display your posts on this site exclusively, unless you personally post your own content elsewhere.

Account deletion
If you want to leave PlatinumThreads and want your account deleted, you have the right to request your account to be deleted. You can request to have all your posts deleted as well. (Otherwise your posts will show they belong to "Guest YourUsername" ). Your posts will be deleted if they contain personally identifiable information (PII) about you.

Other privacy protections
As stated in the rules, "You may not post any personal information or media (pictures, videos, etc.) of other members anywhere on the forum without their permission."

The IPS Spam Defense Service passes the email address and IP address of the registering member to the service to determine the likelihood a registering account is a spam source.
